Video: A quick visit to Le Louvre

I spent Thursday (travel-day) and Friday of this week in Paris meeting with one of our partner companies for a project kick-off meeting on a major project I'm managing this year.

Thank you to Muriel Bonfils for taking the time to show us around and yes I do plan to visit properly and spend a couple of days (and possibly an evening) strolling around this beautiful and breathtaking place.

Alice doesn't live here any more

I want this to be true....

In the early days of his career, Elton John was approached to do background music for a movie.
He wrote the music without seeing the script, so, when the previews came up, he arrived at the cinema wondering what the movie would be like. Looking around, he noticed he was sitting next to Alice Cooper.
When the movie started, Elton was stunned to discover it was one of the hardest hard-core porn films he`d ever seen.
Deeply embarrassed, he turned to Alice and whispered,
"Actually, I only came along to hear my music."
"Yeah, man", said Alice, "and I only came along to see my snake."

2:00am mid-life crisis blues #56 & #83

That's what I'm calling it. (The song that is)

It was late.. it was nearly 2:00am but I'm using poetic license.

All I could manage was a blues in A with some power-pop chord changes.

In the cold light of day it's average but that's what I've got to stop - I should finish it, demo it and move on.

Joining A Fan Club

My good friend Dan P completed an album Hand Actor Part over a period of 18 months. He recently completed an e-journal, or e-book if you wish, detailing his adventures through 2005 and 2006.

I'm green with envy and have no-one to blame but myself.

Last night I took his advice and decided this was important enough for me to start making time for it.

Working title "A Fan Club of 1". Why ? Because I think I might just be the only person who ever really listens to this.

A bit of searching around the house turned up some works-in-progress as well as 2 collaborations with Dan that I think are due for completion.

I've also got an idea for how to join all these songs together in a slightly unusual "The Who Sell Out" way.

Now. Where's that rhyming dictionary gone then ?
